{The Fighter Tee} Tour

When I first heard that Kelly from The Handmade Boy was planning to draft a tee with the help of Tami of Love Notions, I was immediately excited. I knew no matter what, it was going to be a huge hit...and I must say that my heart grew even bigger for Kelly. We have been working together for about 2.5 years now and I believe that she is one of the kindest people that  have met in the sewing community. She has such a caring heart and this pattern is definitely something that she has poured her heart into. Being that 100% of the proceeds are going to St. Judes Children's Research Hospital shows you just how much she cares. So many hours out into it...so much thought...and I am so honored to be a part of it!

Wow...enough of the sappy stuff...sorry I tend to get carried away! Let's get to the grit..the details of the pattern. The Fighter Tee comes in sizes 2-12 and is loosely fitted. The color-blocked sides make it absolutely perfect for using some of those beloved custom knit prints that we all seem to hoard, but cannot come to terms with cutting into. I promise you won't use too much..lol! I also found that using a solid for the main and print for the sides give you the perfect opportunity to cut some vinyl with a cute saying or graphic. It's really such a perfect little tee for the kiddos.

As I looked for fabrics to create my tee in testing, I realized that I didn't have much as far as boy fabrics go anymore...so solids it was. I used a blue cotton jersey from Mabel Madison and mustard cotton lycra from LA Finch Fabrics. When I showed my son it spoke to him and he told me that he wanted the Batman symbol on the front to resemble to old school Batman TV show....I love that my kids love old shows! So....what baby wants, baby gets!!! Mama delivered!

I hope that you grab your copy if for nothing else than to donate to the cause (which you can do directly HERE if you would rather make a donation), but I promise you that you won't be disappointed in The Fighter Tee...and for $5 you can't be beat!! Thank you so much for stopping by and make sure to check out all the other inspiration throughout this tour.
