{I Heart You Dress} by Rose & Lee Designs

I finally get to share!!!!!! Remember that project that I was working on last week for Kids Clothes Week that I couldn't share just yet? This is it...look at this beautiful dress. Just in time for Valentine's Day <3

I had the pleasure of testing the I Heart You dress by Rose & Lee Design. This pattern is ONE OF A KIND. I really stepped out of my comfort zone on this one.

{About the Pattern}
  • This has a GINORMOUS size range-- 2-16!!!! Wow...my daughter will be able to grow into this one!
  • Multiple options-- inset heart or applique on bodice, with or without ruffles. Bias or ruffle hem.
  • Intermediate skill level-- none of the steps were very hard at all, it was a very detailed pattern though...it took me about 5-6 hours of construction if I had to guess.
  • Easy to read instructions with very clear pictures.
  • Layered pattern printing-- love this option.
  • Fully lined bodice.

 I really like the bodice. The inset heart is just so unique, and the cris-cross on the back with the button closure really makes this dress amazing!!! It has a pretty full skirt too....you can't forget about the twirl factor ;)

I chose to make the ruffle hem. My daughter loves all the ruffles and fluff, so I knew that she would appreciate it! I was a bit nervous about all the gathering that I would have to do though, so I cheated a bit. I used my ruffler foot and was able to set it so that it gathered it perfectly. It probably saved me 30 minutes to an hour...whoohoo...and it looks perfect (without all the stress).

Right now you can get the I Heart You dress for 15% off using the code iheartyou or save 20% off two patterns using code iheartyou2.

Thanks for stopping by!
