{EYMM Anniversary Blog Tour}

Hey y'all! I am here today celebrating EYMM and her 2 Year Anniversary with a blog tour!!! Her very first pattern released on July 31, 2013 and just two years later she now has 43 paid sewing patterns available. If you don't know much about Kymy and her story, head on over to EYMM and get to know her a little more...I promise you won't regret it!

Today, I am featuring the newly released Capsule Skirt. It is such a fun and super quick pattern taking less than an hour from start to finish. I was fortunate enough to be a tester for both the Women's and Girl's version of the skirt, and Kymy's testing process is so fun. She truly cares about each and every pattern and getting it just right before release.

The Capsule skirt is just a simple half circle skirt, but I feel that it is very flattering on so many body shapes. My favorite part of the pattern is that there are optional hem lines ie: low rise/maternity, regular, additional coverage. These options are perfect for a person like myself because I can choose the low rise option for the front, since I wear the band under my belly and not over it, and extra coverage for the back since I am well endowed back there. By using these two different hem lines, I now have a skirt that actually has an even hemline. No longer will you have a skirt that is long in front and hikes up in the back, just a nice even hem. This option also worked very well for my plus-sized daughter as well because she always wears her skirts below her tummy and has the same problem that I have.

Let's talk about some other options for a sec...POCKETS!!!! I really like to have the pocket option on a skirt, because when you become a mom, let's face it...you're always hanging on to someone's things...am I right?!? These pockets are hidden right in the side seams making it perfect for casual wear. Do you need a little more in terms of modesty? Kymy has designed these so that they work perfectly in combination with her Get Moving Leggings, Capris and Shorts. I am excited to try this option out myself considering that I am constantly chasing my kiddos and sometimes forget about modesty when I am caught up in a 5K race with them ;)

Between the dolly, girls and women's versions, there are over 29 different sizes available, and if you want them all, you can find the bundle here!

I enjoyed sewing the Capsule Skirt for my summer capsule wardrobe (more on that later), but I think that it will work well into fall or any season for that matter. I think that it will really live up to it's name!

Thank you so much for stopping by, and don't forget to stop by and visit all the other bloggers that are featuring EYMM this week. Here is the schedule and all the fun ways to participate!

  20. I really admire the fact that the EYMM patterns are modestly designed. I like to have major parts of me covered up in public...just wish others thought the same! :)
