{Vanguard Kit} from Love Notions

Oh MY! I am just over the moon excited for this pattern. It is the first boy's pattern in over a year that Love Notions has released and let me tell you, she hit it out of the park with this one. It WILL NOT disappoint!

The Vanguard Kit comes with both a top AND bottoms...yes you heard that right! BOTH!!! Not only does it come with both, it is packed full of options too. The top has multiple options for colorblocking, which is my absolute favorite thing to do. It gives you such a great mix of looks depending on the fabrics that you choose and allows you to use small scraps of your favorite fabrics that you have been hoarding! As for the pants, well they are such a super quick sew, but the extra little added detail will make it look like you spent HOURS on them. Plus, my boys think that I am a super cool mom for putting together such "cool" outfits for them.

The kit come in sizes 2-14 making it extremely versatile for years to come! My favorite part of the kit has to be the knee pleats on the pants. They are very different from any pleats that I have done before, and after topstitching them down, the detail looks so trendy. Add on those cargo pockets and you have yourself a pair of pants that look like they came from some 'top-dollar' store....now show those puppies off and wait for the "ooh's and ahhhh's"!!!! I plan to add rivets to the bottom of the pockets, but ran out of time before release. I will try to get a pic added in here when I get them on the pants.

AAAAAND, here is some of my favorite pics of my boys! I just had to share them!!!! Aren't they so handsome?!?

So, RUN on over to Love Notions and grab yourself a copy of the Vanguard Kit while it is on sale!

  3. So great! I don't buy kid patterns that often anymore, but I did buy this one. Haven't made anything for my boys in ages (and I must confess that I've never made anything for my littlest guy!).
